While the Shures Network core website is coded for all operating systems, some of the multimedia content may not play correctly using Apple, Linux, or alternative browsers like FireFox, Safari, etc. This is caused by a lack of support for the imbedded media in these applications. You can correct this by installing the correct browser plug-in for the playing of the files. Most of the formats I use are .wmv, .mpg, .avi, .wav, & .mp3
The Microsoft Internet Explorer prompt for playing these multimedia formats reads:
This website wants to run the following add-on: ‘Windows Media Player” from ‘Microsoft Corporation. If you trust the website and the add-on and want to allow it to run, click here…
If you are using Internet Explorer, this plug-in dialog box should automatically appear prompting the installation of Microsoft’s ActiveX support playing the multimedia files. This is a Microsoft add-on that is safe to install and will allow the playback of the videos. If you already have the necessary plug-in installed, you will not see any prompts.
By default, most of the multimedia files here are displayed paused. You will need to click the play button to get them going. While they are being buffered, it may take a few seconds before they start playing.
