Now that I’m constructing again, I’ve been using a new favorite hardware store. Two blocks away from my home, they have everything I need at great prices.
While their items are not the highest quality, they are good enough to meet my needs. Ever since I retired professionally from the wrenching, Snap-On has not been one of my requirements. Eye bolts & J.B. Weld are the same wherever you go. I also bought a much needed handy dandy impact screwdriver for $6.00. It works perfect and even included a plastic storage case.
They have brand new OHV 6.5HP engines for $130.00. These are almost identical to the Honda brand that costs much, much more. Most of the parts are interchangeable. I’ve been using a knock-off engine like this on my generator for years. I know where to get a replacement should I ever need it.
