Joel Osteen - Become a Better You

I highly recommend reading Joel Osteen books.
They are even read by the author.

In my past, I’ve seen a few therapists. At one time to me it seemed like a trendy thing to do. I can’t say I ever really benefited from any of it. None of the people I ever met offered me any good guidance or advice. I get the best of that from everyday people.

Mostly the therapists just get paid for listening to people talk. I suppose some people need that, but why would I when I have the Shures Network to tell stories? ;)

I think the best counseling I have ever received came from a shouting Drill Sergeant in the form of “Suck it up soldier and motor on”…”Pull yourself up by your boot straps”…”If you need help, reach down and grab em to remember you have a pair” mixed in with generous amounts of cursing. Imagine Dr. Phil mean and swearing in a funny looking hat. It took this boy and made him a man at 17.

The 2nd best advice I ever received came from reading Joel Osteen’s books.

Both of these have a similar let it go let yourself flow message. One may be better exercise.

I like this version; cheese and all.

I was thinking about Springfield and the Blowfish came to mind. I don’t know exactly why, but they remind me of my birth place.

Maybe it’s that they seem so mid-west to me. Maybe it was seeing them at the IL State Fair. Maybe it was the time in my life when they were at the top of the charts.

I support both the Blowfish and Sesame Street with free Shures advertisement.

I got laid off from my job today. I’m not sad, angry, or upset. Mostly, I’m just relieved to be out of a bad situation. I feel that this could turn out to be one of the best days of my life.
