Oceanic 60 Gallon Tank

I bought an Oceanic 60 gallon for the living room. I’ve got Angels, Gouramis, and Platies all living happily together in it.

My Cichlids have been sent back to the pet breeder. They were just too aggressive and spent most of their time hiding out from each other. The goldfish are now enjoying the 30 gallon which has been moved to my daughter’s room.

My 10 gallon has been retired as too small for anything I have. Small fish rapidly outgrow it. A tank smaller then 10 is just a fish torture chamber. When keeping fish as pets, I recommend you start out with at least a 30 gallon tank. Fish really need at least that much space. A 60 gallon is an even nicer size; Big and roomy but not giant taking up too much floor space.

The bigger the fish tank, the easier it is to take care of. The algae growth is much less and the water conditions stay way more balanced for keeping your fish healthy. Get one of those reversible flow water vacuums that hook to a sink. It makes cleaning and maintenance a breeze. No more buckets.
