Cooling System Service

It was time for me to do some more maintenance on his Jeep. This week, I replaced the cooling system’s water pump, thermostat, gaskets, & hoses. I like my little port injected 318 cubic inch V8. It runs great, purrs like a kitten, and pulls like a mule.
The replacement procedure was actually fairly easy with the hardest part being removing the old gaskets. Since he no longer owns a die grinder, a 3 minute buffer wheel job took an hour of scraping with a blade. But the rest of the job was cake.
I still enjoy doing my own work on my vehicles even though it’s been 10 years since I turned the wrenches professionally.
